And they are cheap now!
This list is full of what looks like decent games but to be honest, this list has nothing in it to wet my pants over. I look forward to Forza 3 and Crackdown 2 but Alan Wake is a pipe dream and I'm not a Halo fan by any stretch. Sure the games were good but just not my cup of tea. Splinter Cell lost it's savor after Chaos Theory and Gears 3... Well, I was pissed at the ending of Gears 2. Now ME2 will be awesome but other than this, boy I hope that MS has some major guns up their sleaves at E3...
I liked the first one and had only gripes about the friggin' elevator ride and the screen tearing. If they fixed those two issues, this game would need nothing eles but a new story line to expand on the first one. Looks great and I cannot wait. The first one was and is still the best RPG outside of Oblivion this gen.
I would have given the first one about a 7 out of 10 on my games scale and so this one looks like it will be a solid rental for me. If it comes out on the PS3 then I will get it for that but if it is for the 360 only, I will rent it for that system. Makes no difference to me.
Sony has always suffered from the "smoke stack" effect and with items like this, you can see a deeper penetration of collective thinking within each of the Sony divisions. This is a very slick app if in fact it is done well.

You can get massive hard drives for dirt cheap these days. Not to mention, if you run Tversity or PlayOn, you can virtually store all your movie and music on you PC and stream all that stuff. The only thing you need on your PS3 HDD is game data and games themselves.
I installed PlayOn on my PC and now watch all my Netflix movies on my PS3 and Tversity allows me to play all my iTunes and other music along with any videos I have ripped ...
If MS is going to scratch and pull hair in this generation then feel free to do the same Sony. Sorry, but after two years of fanboys both here and at MS treating the PS3 badly, it's nice to see the tides change in favor of Sony. Maybe with a few slaps to MS from Sony, the whole DLC war will stop all together, but not until Sony has had a few kicks in.
Because as much as the Xbox fanboys cry about how lame the game MGS4 was with it's movie length cut scenes and "bland game play", they can't hide the FACT that they want this game on the 360 so bad they can taste it. It's pathetic really.
And as for MHO... The game was far from bland and the cut scenes were farking amazing!
It looks good. I liked Gears and to have something similar but with different characters in a different world makes me a happy camper. Just hope it is not made using UE3. I have had enough of that game engine already.
I know some folks that bought 360's without HDD's. They bought them to get the in-store warranty so that when they puked they could get direct replacements instead of going through MS for the warranty work. The warranty work only applied to the RROD for a while and when they would get disc read errors or trays that would not open, they were screwed. Buying the in-store warranty saved them. That way they could get the HDD off their old system and trade in the broken system.

If you want quality over quantity, PS3 is the console of choice for those with a limit of one console. Glad I have both the PS3 and the 360. having both keeps from having spare time on my hands to waste on shovelware regardless of the system.
He even states it is not about the money. He simply wants to showcase his game on the best possible hardware.
That's not something to be proud of given the state of affairs the 360 has had to deal with. RROD has shown us that no matter how many years in advance MS starts developing a console, it won't help. Perhaps MS needs to take time and evaluate their tactics and spend more time devoted to making quality products and not rushing it out the door before it is finished. Hopefully, after the mistake they made this gen, they will have learned and will not make the same mistake twice.

How about some games? It would be nice to see some cool new titles coming out for the 360 that would help spur us into turning it on more often for something other than Netflix. Can't wait for E3 to see what MS has up their sleeves.
I'm not stirring up crap here. I'm asking a legit question as to what MS would gain if they dropped Japan all together and spent the millions of dollars in marketing elsewhere. It only makes sense since 1/30th of their world wide sales are in Japan and that sir, is abysmal. It's not the 360 that sucks in Japan, it's just that Japan does not like MS or the 360 all too well.
Now that is funy stuff right there. puters around the world are giggling as we speak. lol
